Embrace life's ups and downs and ride the waves of change with confidence. Cultivating your inner strength and adaptability will help you weather any storm that comes your way. If you feel like you've missed opportunities or have had enough, I am here to help. My assistance is particularly useful if you're struggling to cope with past experiences that are affecting your daily life. I can also help you improve your ability to handle difficult situations, whether at work or home.
My approach is uniquely based on neuropsychotherapy, a combination of more than 26 years of teaching, research, and practice as a psychologist, and an understanding of how the brain works. I have developed a process that uses psychological principles to create a balanced activation of neural networks. However, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all solution, as everyone's experiences are unique. Instead, I work with you respectfully and responsibly to build your resilience and move from trauma to flourishing.
Our journey together aims to develop post-traumatic growth. This will help you foster self-awareness and emotional regulation, build strengths, and set appropriate life goals that align with your needs to take control of your life and enjoy a more fulfilling and meaningful existence.

Let me introduce myself
My name is Dirk Geldenhuys. I have been working as a lecturer and professor in
organisational psychology, change management, group
facilitation, counselling and coaching for more than 26 years.
I am a registered psychologist with the New Zealand
Psychologist Board and the Health Professions Council of
South Africa. I am also an honorary lifelong member of The Society of Industrial and Organisational Psychology and a listed coach with the society.
I was trained in and obtained extensive experience in the following: systems-psychodynamics
(Tavistock Institute – UK; Bayswater Institute - UK and A.K. Rice Institute - USA), appreciative inquiry
(NTL – USA; David Cooperrider – USA), socio-constructionism (TAOS Institute – USA) and for the past
ten years in applied neuroscience (International Association of Applied Neuroscience -AUS;
Neuropsychotherapy Institute - AUS; Science of Psychotherapy - AUS).
Since 2014, my focus has been on applying neuroscientific research findings, specifically neuropsychotherapy to my interventions. This theoretical background, combined with extensive hands-on experience as an industrial psychologist, prepared me to take the lead in establishing applied neuroscience in the field of organisational psychology in South Africa, to serve on the board of the International Association of
Applied Neuroscience (IAAN), and to become a co-founder of the Global Institute for Organisational Neuroscience. I am also a registered Brain Working Recursive Therapy (level 2) practitioner and a Certified Practitioner of the Predictive 6 Factor Resilience Scale where I am serving on the advisory board of the Driven Resilience Program.
In my private time, I enjoy mountain biking with my family, the outdoors and travelling.
